I always loved how sun and concrete come together – it fills me with a kind of nostalgia that I can't quite explain. Maybe it stems from my grandparents backyard, which had this terrace made of huge plates of concrete; maybe it's remembering the brutalist buildings of my mother's country, Cuba, being plunged into a carribean sunset.
Wherever that feeling comes from, this collection of images of the Sonnenbergkirche in the south of Stuttgart is my best attempt at capturing it.
